About Us
Animal Ultrasound Services is an outpatient veterinary imaging center that provides diagnostic ultrasounds, fine needle aspirates, and clinical consultations for dogs, cats, and exotic species. We partner with your veterinarian to provide you with the information you need to make informed choices about your pet’s healthcare.
Your veterinarian may advise that an abdominal ultrasound be performed when labwork or x-rays suggest an abnormality and the cause can not be determined, or when symptoms are not responding to treatment. Ultrasound allows us to look at each of the internal organs, finding things like tumors, abscesses, foreign objects, or other changes that can not be detected on x-rays. When abnormalities are found, we can use ultrasound guidance to sample cells from the affected area and to obtain a diagnosis.
Following the ultrasound, one of our doctors will discuss the findings with you, and will send a detailed report and images to your veterinarian. This allows your veterinarian to provide the best possible treatment options for your pet.
Animal Ultrasound Services is an imaging-only service, so any additional tests or treatments that may be needed are performed through your pet’s regular veterinarian. This enables your veterinarian to maintain primary responsibility for your pet’s case from start to finish.
